Buy or Sell Gold?

Gold Prices are all time high in India... What do you think? Will it go up further? Or will it be a good idea to sell of and book profit, if one had bought gold ealier at lower prices?

I feel it is likely to go up further in next few months since marriage seasons are ahead.

What is your take?

For the people who has Gold in ornament form (as the case with many Indian), this is not a good short term investment options, because loss of making charge and salers/buyer commision will eatup into all gains.

For other who buy gold as bar or ETF should hold as weakning US economy will keep Gold price up.

Can you also let me know what kind of returns can we expect by investing in gold. When do you think will be good time to enter into this commodity?

gold prices are expected to go up in the near future...bcoz of many reasons...investing in gold ornaments might not be a good way if you are only investing for profits...as gold shops or gold smiths don't buy it back..or tell you to exchange with gold ornaments or if you want in cash will pay you only 90% of the amount...invest in solid gold coins,or gold bars...24 carats...

Can we invest in gold in the form of shares? Like commodities?

Not sure but I guess some Banks are offering Gold Bonds...

That is called Gold ETF. You can try searching for different GOLD ETF in trading account .. or ask your share broker to help in investing in GOLD ETF.

What kind of returns can you expect if the market is stable?

Land and Gold are always high reward investments. Any dip in the price will be only temporary. 10 years down the line dont be surprised if Gold costs Rs 5000 or 1000 per gram...

rakesh is obsessed by comodity trading i guess!!!!!he he he he...ok let me throw some light on comodity trading or even forex trading.....disadvantage is.....to open a comodity trading acount you need to have atleast 10,000$ or precisely 3.9lakhs.....need to have a lot of knowledge on the same......its a subject in itself.....might be you can learn more....on reymount comodities just search in google....it give you a simulation and teaches you to do comodity trading...might be helpful...to get real picture of comodity trading....
