Reliance Power Empty Reliance Power

Post by enidhi Thu Jan 31 2008, 11:15

There's an interesting analysis on Reliance Power at this blog:

http://deepeshdhakad.wordpress.com/2008/01/17/reliance-power-ipo-diagnosed/

Summary is that risk involved in Reliance Power outweighs the reward and one should sell of on the day of listing and book profit.

RPL will take several years before it starts making profit and all these years it has to run on borrowed money. Any fluctuation in RPL share price till that time will be purely based on Reliance brand name and market hype and not because of fundamentals. The company appears to be over valued and promoters are passing most of the risk to investors by launching IPO.

What is your take?

Hi,
you were right and I had made the mistake by not selling the rpower on listing. now it is far low as compared to it's issue price. I am now waiting for a price where I can exit.
