Does anyone have this habit?

Post by ashwini on Sun Apr 27 2008, 15:18

My grand ma has this habit which helps her save money- if she has a bigger denomination note with her-I mean Rs 500 or Rs 100 note, she will try her best to postpone using that note as long as possible. She believes, if it is broken into smaller denominations (like you buy a Rs 5 thing, give Rs 100 note, collect Rs 95 back, we will spend these 95 rs very easily in very short time...

Why comments?

Can't withheld the bigger denominations in my pocket for longer time these days as ATM dosen't have smaller denominations.... So I spend money whether it is of lowere or higher denominations but "ACCORDING TO THE NEED".

yes-the idea is good... if we had to spend 5 Rs we think "its only 5 rupees"... not cutting bigger denomination might help saving tempation of making several small purchases..
